Meet Your New Favorite Protein Bar Recipe 😲

If you love the flavor of graham crackers but want something with a little more protein and staying power, you need to try these.

These Soft-Baked Honey Graham Protein Bars are sweet, soft, a little nostalgic, and perfect for spring. They have that classic honey-graham flavor, but each bar comes in at just 151 calories with 11 grams of protein.

They’re also ridiculously easy to make. Mix everything together, spread it into a pan, bake, cool, cut, and you’ve got eight grab-and-go bars ready for the week.

Max Effort Soft-Baked Honey Graham Protein Bars

**Makes 8 bars

Ingredients

  • 80g oats

  • 60g crushed graham crackers

  • 70g Max Effort Protein Powder — I used Vanilla Ice Cream Whey

  • 4 oz. unsweetened applesauce — one individual cup

  • 110g liquid egg whites

  • 30g honey or sugar-free syrup

  • 16g powdered peanut butter

  • ½ tsp. baking powder

  • ½ tsp. cinnamon

  • ½ tsp. vanilla extract

  • Pinch of salt

  • Water as needed

Let's Make Them

  • Preheat your oven to 325°F.

  • In a bowl, mix together the oats, crushed graham crackers, protein powder, powdered peanut butter, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.

  • Add your applesauce, egg whites, honey or sugar-free syrup, and vanilla. Mix everything together really well, then let the batter sit for about 3–5 minutes.

  • Now check the consistency. You want a thick batter that's still easy to spread. If it feels too dry or doughy, add water about 10 grams at a time until you get there.

  • Spread the batter evenly into a parchment-lined or sprayed 8×8 pan. If you want a little extra graham-cracker goodness, break up a few pieces and press them into the top before baking.

  • Bake for 16–20 minutes, checking them at the 16-minute mark. The key here is not to overbake them. Pull the pan when the edges are set and the center is just cooked but still soft.

Let them cool completely before cutting into eight bars. They’ll firm up quite a bit as they cool and even more once you put them in the fridge.

That's it. You've got soft-baked, honey-graham goodness ready whenever the sweet tooth hits!!
