Competition day is such an exciting and exhilarating time, with all the action, glamour, and of course, your beautiful competition suit. In order to fully showcase your physique, it's important to wear your bikini in a way that flatters your hard-earned muscles. Here are some tips to keep in mind as you prepare for your big day. First and foremost, be sure to double-check the regulations of the federation you will be competing in. While most rules and regulations are similar across federations, it's always best to check the website for any specific guidelines. To help elongate your legs, try wearing your suit connectors higher up on your hips. This will help showcase your glutes and legs, while avoiding a blocky appearance at your waist. If you have a shorter waist, you may consider having the connectors sit a little lower, or opting for a lower rise at the front of your bikini. While practicing in a posing suit, use that time to experiment with different connector positions on your hips. Consult with your coach and posing coach to see what looks best for your body type and posing routine. Some brands, like Kitty's, offer different bottom cuts, such as the standard or "kiki" cut, to help accentuate your glutes. For the top, it's important to keep the bottom strings nice and tight and just under the breast line. You want the top strings to be tight but comfortable, so you can still move freely. This will help keep the suit in place during your routine, and allow you to "place" your breasts where they need to be without any slippage or coverage. You may also consider adding padded cups to add fullness or shape to your chest area. I will be doing YouTube videos that explain in detail how to wear and adjust your competition suit. Be sure to check them out for even more helpful tips.
Ultimately, the most important thing is to feel your absolute best and most confident on stage, so you can showcase all of your hard work and dedication.
