Who doesn't love Reese's peanut butter cups? They're a classic treat that many of us enjoy. But, as much as we love them, they aren't the best option when it comes to fueling our bodies after a workout. That's where these protein Reese's come in!
These protein Reese's are made with a delicious chocolate coating and a peanut butter filling. The chocolate coating is made with Max Effort Chocolate PB Protein, coconut oil, cocoa powder, and powdered sugar substitute. The peanut butter filling is made with melted nut butter, Max Effort Protein (in this recipe, banana cream was used), and powdered sugar substitute.
Making these protein Reese's is super easy! First, line a cupcake tin with liners. Then, mix together the melted nut butter, protein powder, and powdered sugar to create the peanut butter filling. Divide the mixture into 12 individual pieces and shape them into small circles.
Next, combine the coconut oil, chocolate protein powder, cocoa powder, and powdered sugar to make the chocolate coating. Spoon a small amount of the chocolate sauce into each liner and spread it to cover the bottom. Refrigerate for 5-10 minutes to allow the chocolate to harden.
Once the chocolate has hardened, add the peanut butter circles to the top and spoon the rest of the chocolate over the peanut butter to coat. Pop the protein Reese's into the fridge to allow the chocolate to harden and then enjoy!
In conclusion, these protein Reese's are the perfect post-workout treat! They're delicious and provide your body with the nutrients it needs to recover and grow stronger. So, next time you're looking for a sweet treat after your workout, give these protein Reese's a try!
